BIO

Although Moravia isn’t the biggest town in central NY, that doesn’t stop Angels Beneath Me from making a name for themselves. Coming from a town that consists of farmers, farmer’s daughters, rednecks, and the local hometown “gym class” heros has made it tough for these musicians to get their music into the hands of people who would give a damn. Metal however in the boondocks isn’t necessarily a new thing, with bands like Manowar and If Hope Dies spawning from a neighboring town, there proved to be a some what surprising following of metal heads, young and old, ready for a taste of something new. New is exactly what they got! Angels Beneath Me formed in 2003 and with their technical style, combined with straight up in your face thrash for the headbangers and down right brutal breakdowns for the pit-goers, it didn’t take long for the word to spread about this band. After only a couple years of hard work and dedication, they were able to put together and self release a demo, which was quickly picked and sold out to their fan base which has been on the steady rise ever since. The big break came in July of 2005, when they played at the Hardcore BBQ with bands such as Byzantine, If Hope Dies, and Dog Fashioned Disco. The night needless to say became theirs as everyone and their mother came out to watch these guys rock the stage. From their they went on to play the Benevolectic 2005 Fest with Most Precious Blood, Psyopus, etc.

It wasn’t soon after the band joined forces with Hegira Records, based out of Rochester, NY and began working on their debut full length album. The album entitled “The Scene is Over, Burn the Reel”, was recorded, produced and mastered by Jason Randall (Metal Blade Records, Hex Records, The Red Death, Found Dead Hanging, From a Second Story Window, Engineer, Ed Gein, etc.) and Eric (The Mook) at More Sound Recording Studio in Syracuse, NY. The album hit stores and national/international distribution channels in February 2006. From their the band went on their first national tour from NY to Florida and back, and plans on hitting the road again this summer for another tour across the states. A band this dedicated, hardworking talented, and full of energy can only mean one thing, and that is success. The band is ready to hit the scene hard in 2007, and guarantees to be a force to be reckoned with as they continue to rock people’s worlds everywhere!
